While industry standards are rather lax in our opinion, our chickens are truly free range. In the summer the girls
are moved out to the sheep and cattle pastures. They have over ten acres where they can roam, scratch and
show their true chickenness. During the summer they feast on insects, weeds and grasses. They are also given
grains to round out their appetites. We do not believe in feeding antibiotics, steroids or hormones.

Many consumers are becoming more aware of what they eat. We have listened to your requests to exit the
conventional food channels. You want to be able to know where your food comes from. You want to know that it
is a safe living food.

The fact is that because pastured chickens feed so heavily on forages, the eggs and the meat can be clinically
shown to be far lower in saturated fats than even some of the so called organic chickens. While ours are not
certified organic we feel they are a better choice. They are raised without the negatives of over crowded
conditions, and allowed free access to plenty of fresh air and sunshine.

We are offering processed chicken for sale from the farm. These birds are not certified organic, but are
raised as naturally as we can. They are processed on the farm, while not a commercial facility, we are
extremely careful with cleanliness. After hearing the horror stories of sick and dying animals being sent
through these facilities and the filthy environment in which they are processed, I am very pleased with our
operation. The chickens are processed in small batches with water changes and cleaning of equipment
made often. They are finally packed on ice until the customer comes to the farm to pick them up.

Prices: The birds are sold for $2.25 /pound. They are whole and weigh between 4 and 6 pounds each.
We strongly suggest pre-ordering, especially if you are wanting more than 5. We ask that you also pay a
deposit of 50% when you place the order.

First processing will be in late June
